I was born and raised in Upstate New York. I have had a profound interest in computers for as long as I can remember. When I was 8 my family got its first PC. It wasn't long before I was breaking into system files and taking the machine apart in order to figure out how it all worked.
In high school I had my first opportunity to take a computer class and learned how to write code in Pascal, which was already long outdated by that time. I was hooked. I took every computer class that was available at my high school after that, including a two year Cisco networking certificate program.
In 2003 I went to the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, where I majored in Computer Information Systems. The urban life in Albany started wearing on me. Trapped by brick and concrete the mountains called. In 2005 I transferred to Sierra Nevada College on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. It was here that I could find synergy between my love for the great outdoors and computer programming. In 2008 I graduated and it was time to look for a job. The Tahoe Basin is not exactly Silicon Valley and the market for computer programmers in the area is scarce so I decided to start this online venture. See Services for more information on my offerings.
When not in front of my computer I enjoy snowboarding, rock climbing and mountaineering, whitewater rafting, and backpacking.
